Why We're Passionate About Habits & Coaching

Show me your habits, and I’ll show you your future.

You’ve got a demanding job. You’ve got a full schedule of family commitments. You’re probably also feeling like there should be something more.

I’ll be direct: I want to convince you to add coaching to the mix.

I believe it’s a unique win-win opportunity that’s often overlooked.

Through coaching, you’ll ensure that you stay on a growth trajectory and make a positive impact for others.

OUR WHY

Accessible Momentum

I discovered habit tracking over a decade ago. I had accidentally noticed the power of habits and was thrilled to find helpful tools and other folks that shared my enthusiasm. Since then, I’ve connected with thousands of clients, coaches, and fellow habit aficionados from all over the world. Those relationships and conversations have enriched my life tremendously.
I believe that habits are one of the human superpowers, and science gives us clues on how to use them. I believe that coaching is uniquely helpful for providing the starting point, pathway, and support for crafting our habits intentionally. Combined, we can help people gain the momentum they need to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Through this platform, we have made those services accessible and affordable through coaches with diverse perspectives and insights.
Our Timeline

We've evolved from an innovative habit tracker to an ingenious platform that made coaching uniquely accessible and unlocked knowledge from previously unreachable experts.

2012

The Big Check-In Button

Starting as the Lift App, the big button was intended to give habit tracking a sense of gravitas. We also featured a calendar that helped "keep the streak going."

2014

Invented Habit Coaching via Text/Chat

Other people had tried “e-coaching,” but they hadn’t cracked the code. We figured it out, with the help of our early coaches.

2015

Created Habit Coaching Certification

Recognizing that principles such as the momentum method and active listening have significant impact, we created the first certification for chat coaching rooted in habit science.

2020

Launched Cohort-based Coach Training Programs

Coaches needed more support, and we stepped up to provide it. We convert our Habit Coaching Certification from self-paced to cohorts and emphasized community through our coach memberships.

Our key values: the foundation of lasting change

At Coach.me our mission is to make high-quality habit coaching accessible to everyone. We believe that transformation happens through structured guidance, accountability,  and the right support system. Our values guide everything we do–how we connect coaches to clients, how we design our programs, and how we contribute to global well-being.

Science-based coaching
Grounded in habit science, psychology, and behavioral change. We don't rely on motivation or vague advice. Every coaching framework is rooted in proven psychological principal. Leveraging research, addressing limiting beliefs and reinforcing positive self-talk, and using evidence-based methods.
Human-to-human connection
In a digital world where automation and AI are taking over, we prioritize real human connections. Every client is paired with a real coach who understands their struggles, adapts to their needs, and provides emotional support alongside strategic guidance.
Accessible Coaching
Traditional coaching services can cost thousands of dollars per month, making them inaccessible to many who need them most. At Coach.me, we bridge the gap by offering high-quality coaching at an accessible price—so that anyone, anywhere in the world, can receive expert guidance.

Why You Should Coach

Yes, we’re biased. That’s because we know the methodology works.

Natural Accountability
From a tactical perspective, what accountability looks like is having a cadence of intentionally planned conversations on a focused topic. That’s coaching, and the rhythm is exactly what clients need. What might not be as obvious is that it works for coaches, too.
Built-In Learning & Growth
Coaching others is like experiencing multiple case studies simultaneously. You have a front row seat to their successes, their challenges, and can see trends emerging in real time. To continue to support our clients, coaches need to keep studying to discover more options for navigating obstacles and preferences.
Make a Positive Impact
One by one, client by client, coaching allows us to share our knowledge and have a positive impact, without sacrificing our main work or family commitments. By using an all-inclusive platform like Coach.me and starting with flexible chat-based coaching, we can get started with as little as 30 minutes a day.
Live Connected
In our community, many are motivated by the quote from Leila Janah that “Talent is equally distributed, but opportunity is not.” By sharing our experiences and insights through coaching, we expand the opportunities and connections available. Towards this goal, the Coach.me platform and methodology was designed to emphasize affordability and accessibility.
