In my observation of coaching plans, both in Lift and out in the wild, pacing a plan is the hardest thing for a coach to do. It’s hard even if the coach knows you and sees you every day. But Lift plans are run by coaches who aren’t in the room with you.
Sometimes a step is unnecessary, sometimes impossible. Sometimes the person isn’t ready and needs to take some recovery time.
Every person is different. Sometimes you need to go on vacation. Sometimes you’re under other pressures. You know yourself better than anyone else.
So our philosophy is to put Lift users explicitly in charge of their own pace.
If a coach asks you to do something that doesn’t fit your lifestyle, go ahead and skip it. Or, if the early part of a plan is too easy, fast forward to the part you want.
The skip option in this release is us saying that we trust you.
Also, we’ve added some more coaching plans. Check the New Plans section when you go to Add Habits.
